The Symbolic Exchange Between Messi Neymar and AlKhelaifi A Trophy’s Journey Beyond Soccer

Lionel Messi Gives Neymar Trophy from PSG President

Messi’s Final Game for PSG

According to Le Parisien, Lionel Messi, aged 36, gave a trophy he received from Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi to his friend and former teammate Neymar, aged 31, before Messi’s final game for Les Parisiens.

The game, which saw PSG lose 3-2 to Clermont Foot at the Parc des Princes, marked the end of Messi’s career at PSG. Despite the loss, PSG had already secured back-to-back Ligue 1 titles.

A Golden Number 30 Trophy

Before the game, Al-Khelaifi visited the dressing room and presented Messi with a golden number 30 trophy, representing the number Messi wore during his two-year stay at the club. Sergio Ramos, who also left the club this summer, received a similar trophy.

Unclear Future for Neymar at PSG

While Messi has left the club to join MLS side Inter Miami, Neymar’s future at PSG is uncertain. However, Luis Enrique’s arrival, who previously worked with Neymar at Barcelona, could be good news for the Brazilian.
