Kylian Mbappé decides future as Paris SaintGermain persists

Kylian Mbappé to Stay at Paris Saint-Germain Despite Contract Situation

Kylian Mbappé has expressed his intention to remain at Paris Saint-Germain during the winter transfer window, despite his contract expiring in June 2024, according to L’Équipe.

Mbappé’s Future Uncertain

Although there have been speculations about Mbappé’s departure from the French capital, it seems unlikely that he will leave in January. The long-term future of the forward remains uncertain. Paris Saint-Germain is under no financial pressure to sell their star player, making a transfer even more unlikely.

Real Madrid or Contract Extension?

It is expected that Mbappé will join Real Madrid in the summer of 2024, as it is no secret that the French striker dreams of playing for the Spanish giants. However, staying at his current club is still an option, as Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly willing to extend his contract, even for just one more season.

Earlier this summer, Mbappé was declared persona non grata after he informed PSG in writing that he would not activate the clause to extend his contract by one year. He will be a free agent after this season. The forward had to train with the “outcasts” in Paris for several weeks and missed the start of the league before being reinstated.
