Breaking: Ajax confirms lightning transfer of Bosnian international from Roma

Transferring to Ajax Amsterdam

Ajax Amsterdam has confirmed the signing of Bosnian international Edin Dzeko from Roma. The Dutch club made the announcement on its official website. Dzeko has reportedly signed a two-year contract with the option of an additional year.

Quotes from Ajax officials

Ajax’s director of football affairs, Marc Overmars, expressed his excitement about bringing Dzeko to the team. “Edin is an experienced striker who adds a lot of quality to our team. He has a lot of international experience and has proven his worth at the highest level. We are very happy to have him on board.”

Dzeko himself is also looking forward to the new challenge. “I am very excited to join Ajax. It is a great club with a rich history and I am looking forward to contributing to its success.”

What’s next for Ajax?

With the addition of Dzeko to their roster, Ajax will be looking to make another deep run in the Champions League this season. The Dutch club made it to the quarterfinals of the competition last year and will be hoping to go even further this time around.

However, with the departure of some key players this summer, including goalkeeper Andre Onana and midfielder Donny van de Beek, Ajax will need to work hard to replace their production.
