Gonçalo Ramos remains at Paris Saint-Germain, purchase option for striker confirmed
Paris Saint-Germain exercises option to buy Gonçalo Ramos
Paris Saint-Germain has officially confirmed that they have exercised the purchase option for Gonçalo Ramos, securing the striker’s services beyond this season. The French powerhouse will pay a total of €80 million to Benfica for the player.
Ramos stays in Paris until 2028
Having joined PSG from Benfica last summer, Ramos initially arrived on loan due to Financial Fair Play regulations. However, PSG has now made his transfer permanent, meaning Ramos will remain with the club until 2028. The deal costs a reported €20 million for the loan and an additional €60 million for the permanent transfer.
In his first months at PSG, Ramos has yet to match his goal-scoring record from his time at Benfica. However, the club remains hopeful that he will find his form soon.
